Video Description for Eat Bulaga Replay May 27, 2011
Eat Bulaga! a noon-time variety show in the Philippines produced by the Television And Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) of Malou Fagar and Tony Tuviera. The program is the longest-running and most watched variety show on Philippine television history. It also holds the Philippine record of all-time number of live TV episodes. (Bulaga means “surprise” in Tagalog, although it should not be taken as the literal translation of the word surprise; its closest English equivalent is Peek-a-boo!. Eat is the transliteration of It!, the Tagalog game-slang for “lost (in the game)” and Eat was chosen because the show plays at lunch time) The show is broadcast from The New TAPE Studios at the GMA Broadway Centrum in Quezon City. Blackberry Playbook finally gets native email app Several months after its launch, Research In Motion’s PlayBook tablet is finally giving it something it sorely lacks: a native email application. RIM gave a demo of the native email, contacts and calendar functionality on the PlayBook at the BlackBerry Innovation Forum, enthusiast site BlackBerryCool said. “The email client on the PlayBook is simply awesome. RIM has taken the time to create an email experience on the tablet that feels like the smartphone experience, but takes advantage of the tablet’s larger screen. The email experience on your tablet has all the features you would expect including read, write, zoom in and out of email, mark priority etc,” it said. But while it said the demo of the email experience “looks ready for launch,” it may not be due on PlayBook tablets until Feb. 17 next year. On the other hand, BlackBerryCool said the calendar experience on BlackBerry has a fun tablet twist to it. “When you’re really busy on a particular day, the calendar numbers get bigger giving you a quick glance at what your day looks like,” it said. As for the native contacts, the PlayBook’s contacts section is powered by Gist. BlackBerryCool said organizers also mentioned at the event that the PlayBook BlackBerry keyboard accessory is coming “early 2012.” — TJD, GMA News
