Video Description for Agent-Based Annotation of Interactive 3D Visualizations
This video presents a novel real-time algorithm to integrate internal and external labels of arbitrary size into 3D visualizations Moreover comprehensive dynamic content can be displayed in annotation boxes Our system employs multiple metrics in order to achieve an effective and aesthetic label layout with adjustable weights The layout algorithm employs several heuristics to reduce the search space of a complex layout task Initial layouts are refined by label agents i e local strategies to optimize the layout and to minimize the flow of layout elements in subsequent frames This video can be found in high quality at wwwisg cs uni-magdeburg de timo videos LabelAgents avi The associated scientific publication available at wwwisg cs uni-magdeburg de timo was published at the 6th International Symposium on Smart Graphics SG 06

Weather: Rain over Bicol, Visayas, Mindanao in next 24 hours, PAGASA says Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms loom over Bicol and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao in the next 24 hours, state weather forecasters said Thursday afternoon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said this is aside from the flash floods and landslides that continue to be a possibility in parts of northern and Central Luzon. "Bicol region and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms," it said in its 5 p.m. bulletin. Northern and Central Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the eastern section, which PAGASA may trigger flash floods and landslides. Meanwhile, PAGASA said moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas. – KBK, GMA News
