News Report:

2 teens found tied up, killed in Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY - The bodies of two minors believed to be victims of summary executions were discovered by joggers in Purok Saranay, Barangay New Rizal, Mlang, North Cotabato on Sunday morning, police said.

Mlang chief of police Inspector Sunny Leoncito identified the victims as Christian Dave Billeza of Barangay Tawantawan and Robin Lorana of Barangay Poblacion A. Both victims were only 15 years old, Leoncito said.

Leoncito said both victims sustained multiple gun shots in different parts of their bodies. Their hands and feet were bound with plastic rope and their heads wrapped in packing tape.

Initial investigation found that the victims were killed in the area, based on the fresh traces of blood stains found at the crime scene.

Responding PNP personnel and members of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered 11 9-mm shells and four .45-cal shells at the scene.

The victims were allegedly notorious thieves and involved in various robberies in Mlang.

“They have records in our office but because they are minors we cannot file charges against them,” Leoncito said in a text message.

Asked if they have already identified suspects in the killings, the chief of police said they are investigating all angles for a possible arrest.

The victim’s cadavers are now at the town’s funeral parlor, Leoncito added. — BM, GMA News
