Raymond Conner, CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, and Mike Sinnett, head of the Boeing 787 program, are scheduled to hold a press conference in Tokyo from 10: 00 am (0100 GMT), the company said on Thursday.
"Boeing executives will be in Tokyo to particulars on the proposed permanent solution to the issue of the 787 battery," the company said in a brief statement.
The worldwide grounding of Dreamliners has thrown schedules in disarray, especially in Japan where All Nippon Airways, the largest operator of the aircraft, is forced to cancel more than 3,600 flights at the end of May.
The planned Conference, which will be webcast live, comes after the u.s. Federal Aviation Administration Tuesday Boeing plan for the 787 batteries approved and the company said test flights with the difficult situation.
The FAA said it had given the green light after "thoroughly review" Boeing 22 February plan to address risks after lithium-ion batteries on two faulty 787 Dreamliner aircraft in mid-January.
A short circuit started a fire on a parked 787 at Boston Logan Airport and non-forced an emergency landing in Japan of a battery.
The incidents led to the grounding of all 50 787s in service around the world on January 16.
